Can someone help me with calculating an electromagnetic force. I need to know what sort of force is developed by a 60 kA 1/2 cycle current carry when introduced to closed contacts inside a vacuum interrupter. thanks.

If the conductors are coaxial (common case in vacuum contactors) then the forces should be zero. Other configurations need a detailed description of geometry.
