HI,

, i know it is based on the competability of the materials to be welded, polarity , service , position , based on their mechanical properties ,

BUT i want to KNOW specifically eeach and every aspects ? for eg ( tensile strength of the electrode should be higher or equal to base metal ) like this each aspects ( competability, service, etc)

Hello everybody:

ssklara,I beg your pardon but, I could not understand (not at all) what you are trying to ask. I, respectfully suggest to you go to forum 1529:Translation Assistance for Engineers, and then come back with your enquiries.

El que no puede andar, se sienta.

You can review the literature, i.e., product catalog, available from the electrode manufacturers. They typically provide information about te mechanical properties, whether the filler metal should be used when PWHT is necessary, the types o base metals it can be used with etc.

You can also look at the filler metal specifications available from organizations such as AWS for general information.

Best regards - Al

hello sir,

I try to ask , how to select or what basis to select the electrodes and filler materials for all materials ( to prepare PWPS ) like carbon steel p1 to p1, and p1 to p5 , and P1 TO P8 .

ssklara;
Welding electrode selection is based on several variables - achieving similar chemical composition characteristics with either base materials being joined, achieving similar mechanical property characteristics for either base materials being joined and last, achieving corrosion resistance characteristics for either base materials being joined.

ssklara,
And in dissimilar metals welding, add the physical property - coefficient of expansion mismatch.

From your latest questions in this forum, you should not be involved in defining welding activities or reviewing welding activities of others. You need vastly more education, experience and mentoring.

FOR CARBON STEEL---IT IS BASED ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES TO MATCH BASE METAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
FOR LOW ALLOY/MEDIUM ALLOY STEEL---IT IS BASED ON BOTH CHEMISTRY & MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
