Hello All

All other variables remaining same which is superior process (ESSC) or SASC? From the point of view of SS Overlay/Inconel 625 Overlay.

Which has high heat input and What is the expected Basemental chemistry proportion in the first layer of Welding (Dilution properties)?

ASME Sec II C does not deal with SS/NF ESSC Flux. Is there any other Standard that specifies the guideline for SASC or ESSC.

It is questionable if the elements you submit are sufficient to identify a "superior" process. If dilution is a problem it is usually controlled using a buttering layer. Current is the parameter having the highest influence on dilution.

Another good source for info regarding the welding of nickel based alloys is Special Metals. 800-624-3411
