Electro Nickel Plating

I would like to introduce myself as an QC Engineer.

We consider a testing method called as Ferroxyl testing to check the porosity test in case of the Electroless Nickel plating. Our requirement is for a general part like peripherals. This part is specifically a Electromagnet.

So we have specified a min. of 5 microns plating thickness.
Is the Ferroxyl test really the correct one for this requirement.
