Two flanges bolt together with an electrical insulating gasket between them. A bolt from the outside of the 'vessel' hold the inner piece to the outer piece. The bolt hole is electrical insulated by a washer and nonconducting tube.
The bolt head is at air atmophere pressure. The insulated joint is at 60 psig H2.
The problem is that H2 leaks through electrically insulated flange and out through the nonconducting tube around the bolt to outside air. Alignment is critical so a hard gasket must be used between the flanges.
The question is What is good insulating flexible compound to put around the nonconducting tube and bolt to seal the H2 inside?
