(None electrical engineer question here. so applogies)

is there a standard which defines how you manage an electrical cabinet MCC/ Switch gear in an area with a wet springler system.

this is an exsiting system but also plans to put new cabinets in.

fire protection is required in general area due to local codes.

e.g. do cabinets have an IP rating standard etc..?

thanks

Four days had passed, there was no response. I try to answer it, for your consideration.
#1. Yes, but there are difference standards/Code between (UK=IEC), IEC and (US=NEC). It would be better to concentrate on the standard/Code that is the Law in the location, of the installation.
#2. Yes, in the IEC world all LV and MV boards are IP rated (e.g. IP 40, 5X ....) FYI: IP is an IEC terminology, which is NOT practised in the US/NEC.
#3. FYI: In practice, it is not practical to fabricate it to say IP 66. The usual economical/practical way to circumvent it as practice in marine boards, is to have a protruded (say 1.5 m in length) "drip shield" With 1.5m protrusion, it is likely to protect any water drop of 15 deg, for a board of say 2m in height.
