Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to increase the speed of an already working electric motor by giving it more energy from a second power source? The increase of speed would only last 2-3 second then returning back to normal speed.

Increase speed by adding more energy from a 2nd power source? No.
Increase speed using Vfd ? probably.

I assume you are talking induction motor. Perhaps you should tell us what type motor, how large, what it drives, how much faster you want it to go, etc.

DC motor, higher voltage fed in with a blocking diode to protect the normal source. Sure.

Before we waste a lot of time guessing, please explain in detail what you mean by "motor". There are literally hundreds of types of electric motors and it makes a difference as to how you might do that.

it's a sort of hypothetical question..unless you describe what you really mean, otherwise; guessing would never stop.
