Hi;
I am modeling a simple, two-story pipe frame, with diagonal bracing. I need to analyze the eigenbuckling modes and get numerical output. Would ETABS be able to model this type of buckling analysis properly? If so, then how, and if not, what would be a valid program for the job?
Thank you for your time.

I think it will give you SOMETHING but you know what they say - garbage in / garbage out. I know for sure that it's cousin SAP does this, but the same thing applies there too. You didn't give enough background to give an idea whether you know enough about stability analysis to know if the program spits out something that's wrong.

What do you do with the info when you get it? It will be strictly linear-elastic. Do you know how to convert this to a real strength? For example, note the additional steps taken in the AISC Manual Chapter E AFTER the elastic critical buckling load is obtained. You might have inelastic buckling for example.
