Has anyone out there noticed a correlation between pipeline corrosion rate and MFL? In theory, the remanent magnetization following an MFL run should cause an increased corrosion rate, and the effect has been observed in the lab, but the dynamic nature of most pipelines, with changing flow, CP, and other parameters, seems to limit the ability to discern any clear effects of the remanent magnetization from MFL for the operators I've spoken with. If you have seen such an effect, I'm very interested to learn more so please provide some details! Thanks!
