Hi

I need to modify the direction of the unit normal of a 2D mesh. The part is in the yz plane and I want the unit normal to point in the positive x direction.

How can i modify the mesh? Thank you.

(In case, you're wondering why i need to do this, i use the node coordinates from abaqus and feed them into another program which requires the node coordinates of each element to be assigned in a certain sequence which defines the direction of the unit normal)

Do you simply want to rotate the part? What unit normal are you referring to?

If you just want to rotate the part, you can rotate when you create an instance of it in the Assembly module. Unless it's axisymmetric, in which case you can only translate in y-dir.
