Edit CurveByTable Data Points

Is anyone aware of a way to use Visual Basic to modify the data points used to define a CurveByTable? It's my understanding that the Excel table used to define the curve becomes an embedded object within the Part Document. I am looking for a way to access and change this data with an automated VB program.
