Edge band for furniture

Hi,

I want to include my edge banding (chipboard finish such as ABS, melamine,...) into my drawings.
The ideal would be if I can use a callout with property onto my drafts and the kind of edge band shows automaticcaly.

So the question is, how can I assign an edge band to a face of my part? And how can I show that automaticcaly on my drafts?

To show it in the part, you will have to create a custom face style from a custom image or from the existing solid edge textures. You then use part painter to apply this style to the face.

As for showing this appearance automatically with a callout, I don't believe this is possible. You can show a shaded view in draft or create and save a custom hatch in the styles in the draft environment. If you want to pull the finish from the model, the only thing I can think of is to create a custom property for the finish in the model to drive the callout in the draft environment.
