Hi:

I have a setup where a permanent magnet is going to rotate above an aluminum plate. This magnet is not translating only rotating, this rotation is in the Polar axis, this means North and South pole form the axis of rotation.

Will this rotation induce eddy currents in the aluminum plate and therefore losses?

Thanks

Fernando

Almost none, there will be no change in the field.
