Would it be possible to use Eddy currents to repel iron ore mix, and hence reduce build up in distribution chutes and hoppers ?

This will not work because the iron ore is attracted by the magnetic field of the eddy currents.

Suggestion: Ideally, hoppers and chutes should be made of diamagnetic materials or at least with sufficiently thick layers of diamagnetic materials.
