I am trying to find an economical way to continuously dispense a 2K urethane. My ideal is using a recirculating valve, but the cost of that valve --- along with a manifold and handle --- is about $1,400 from Nordson (450RC).

Since this is a development program, I am not keen to invest that sum at present and ask if anyone knows of either a more competitive supplier or another dispensing method that allows continuous material flow while controlling shut-off at the mixer?

If you want cheap you will have to build your own.

Start with pressure pots for paint spraying as supply tanks. Air pressure regulators keep the pots at constant pressure.

Use adjustable needle valves for flow control. A ball valve tee'd into the line after the needle valve can be opened to flow into a can for flow calibration. open the ball valve for 10 seconds, weigh the can, adjust the needle valve as needed. The liquid in the can can be put back into the pressure pot.

There is a tandem ball valve designed for simultaneously shutting-off the the flow of hot and cold water to washing machines. Use this to control the flow of the two components to a disposable static mixer.

If this seems too complicated for you you will have to pay for the pre-engineered system.
