Hi,

Looking for advice/suggestions/comments:

In a nutshell, need to control temperature of a temporary steam line by injecting condensate via a 2" line. Steam flow is constant pressure/temperature/flow rate. 20" line, very low pressure (~50 psig). Need to be able to set up and control in the field via laptop/plc/pid....once the temperature is at/near the setpoint, the process is very stable. Equipment goes from job to job. Economics are a concern, but the system must work. High accuracy is not critical. Have all plant utilities to work with (air, elec., etc). A guy needs to be ablr to hitthe site, unpack his laptop & control valve, bolt it onto an existing 2" connection (screwed/flanged/etc) on the steam line and to the condensate source. Power up, check temp., choose a lower setpoint, record data and control temp. for up to 2-3 days. Get done, rig down, load up, move out....

My main interest right now is valve/actuator/positioner/plc.......help??

Thanks,
