Definitely, I agree but you need to subscribe to Knovel -luckily i get access through my membership of the IMechE

As far as i know the ebook and pdf sites pull up free access stuff

You can also add filetypedf to the end of a google search to limit results to this type.
Also works for .ppt .xls .doc types.
