Don't know if I break any copyrights here, but this is an example of new EASA rules to be effective 1st of April...

"Regulation 1-7845-1a;

No pilot or pilots, or person or persons acting on the direction or suggestion or supervision of the pilot or pilots may try, or attempt to try or make or make an attempt to try and comprehend or understand any or all, in whole or in part of the herein mentioned EASA regulations, except as authorised by the administrator or an agent appointed by, or inspected by the administrator.

Regulation 1-7845-1b;

If the pilot, or group of associated pilots becomes aware of, or realises, or detects, or discovers or finds that he, or she, or they, are or have been beginning to understand the EASA regulations, they must immediately, within (3) days notify, in writing, the administrator.

Regulation 1-7845-1c;

Upon receipt of the above mentioned notice of impending comprehension, the administrator will immediately rewrite the EASA regulations in such a manner as to eliminate any further comprehension hazards.

Regulation 1-7845-1d;

The administrator may, at his or her option, require the offending pilot or pilots to attend remedial instruction in EASA regulations until such time that the pilot is so confused as to be incapable of understanding anything. "

This is a bit like Dilbert, so close to reality it's not always funny...

When the FAA writes 5 lines about a subject, EASA writes 5 pages with annexes. And subsequent Decisions that modify the rule. It's a nightmare.
FAA rules are written so that an engineer may understand. EASA rules are written by and for lawyers. Then they have "Approved Means of Compliance" that explains the rules, but are not rules themselves. We engineers are at a disadvantage here.
We want our money back.

On the 1st of April??? Hmmmm... gimme-a-break-guys...
