Hi guys,

I'm currently trying to learn about earthed and unearthed systems. I've got a few documents that outline the basic pro's and con's of each system.
What i would like to know is will there be much difference in cost of equipment for these systems?
Would the likes of cables, transformers and switchboards be priced differently for these systems?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

It isn't so much the cost of the equipment as the amont of equipment you need, depending on your distribution system. For instance, with a earthed system, you can easily have wye xfmr with neutral 120/208 system with less cable, transformers and panels.
