Good day Gents,

It is first time I design a lifting beam as per DNV 2-22. In the standard test load amount is calculated with 2 x SWL. Now my first question is why standard does nor consider Tare weight (dead load/self-weight) into account.

Additionally is there any way to calculate DAF in basis of SWL and Test load. Let me give you a real scenario:
- SWL is 10t. As per DNV 2-22 Test load should be 20t(2 x SWL) but actually it is shown 26.2 t. How can I calculate DAF here?

Thanks in advance.
Ulvi.
