Hi Everyone,

I've come across a drawing symbol on a sheet metal fab. drawing that I'm not familiar with. I was wondering if anyone could please help me with its meaning. Thanks in advance for your help!

I assume you can't ask the customer/whoever provided the drawing etc.

Could it be some kind of chamfer or edge break symbol?

For a second I thought maybe weld symbol but I don't think so.

Which in this specific case basically means that for all external edges undercuts up to 0.3 are acceptable and no burrs are allowed.

Yes, that is how much you can break the edge. The negative sign indicates how much material removal is allowed. If the sign was positive it would indicate how big a burr is allowed.
