Duration as work!

I have 0 working days on a sub task with a duration of 150days. On the main task the total working days appear as 150(like the total duration) instead of zero that is the right work. can anybody help me on this one?

why do you put a task if its duration is 0 days. Is it a milestone task ? mile stone tasks doesot have subtasks !

please elaborate more.
