Sorry for the basic question but I think this should be an easy for you guys to answer.

If you have 3V supplied by two "typical" Duracell (or any other brand) batteries. Is there a way to determine the approximate life of the batteries if the AMPERAGE draw is known??

i.e. Say you have 2 batteries supplying 3V in a circuit that pulls approximatley 2 AMPS. How do you determine how long the battery will last??...if possible. I don't need this example figured, just the procedure to do it myself!!

Again, sorry for the "basic" question, but electronics is not my stong suit!! Thanks in advance!
