It may. Try it and see if it copies what you want. I have copied mine a no problems with other users having my settings.

Straight from Tip-of-the-Day: "Hole Wizard custom holes are stored in a Microsoft Access file named default.mdb. You can copy this file onto another machine to transfer those favorites."
It took us 3 days to figure this one out on our own, then a couple months later I saw the above Tip-of-the-Day pop up.
FYI...I believe the Copy Settings Wizard copies the settings in Tools\Options along with the menu and toolbar settings. And the user.cus file stores your personal settings for shortcut keys.
Remember to make backups of everything first. Also keep backups of your customized versions of these files in a directory that is not under the SolidWorks install directory.

Now that I thought about it some more, I believe that you need to copy this file to the other computer to get your Hole Wizard Settings:
C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\lang\english\swbrowser.mdb
I'm not sure what the default.mdb contains, even tho that is what the Tip-of-the-day suggests.
If you're using Toolbox, you may also need to copy another one of the ~.mdb files in that directory, but I'm not sure about that.

Ken, after changing the holes database, the only "suspect" file updated by SW was "default.mdb". I copied this file to another computer replacing the existing one but my new definitions were not there so I think it is not this one, as you said in your second posting. I'll look into swbrowser.mdb.

that is a good idea. Out IT has no idea about SW so I have to investigate "admin image" a little bit.

I was in there playing around, amazing what I can forget in a few months
. I believe the "default.mdb" stores the default selections for each tab (i.e. the c'bore tab may default to M8, and the taps default to 1/4"-20 etc...) I'm guessing it just stores whatever your last selection was so this will probably changes for each Hols Wizard use to the next.
I'm sure the file you need to copy is the "swbrowser.mdb", but since there are 2 versions in your install directory, I am unsure which is correct. On my machine I overwrote both with the standard file we are implementing, so I actually have the *same* file in both locations.
The way we found out which file was changing was to go into the Tools/Options/Data Options , then flip back over to Windows Explorer and see which files had been modified in the previous few minutes.

for your custom stuff in data options, it makes another access mdb file which you will have to copy to the new computer. I dont think Copy Settings wizard will carryt that file to the new computer. It is this file that contains all the data related to all your custom stuff for toolbox parts.

Becouse this is a company standard and you want everyone to use the same information I would put it in one location like a server and then in Tools/options/file locations.
chnage this to point to the location that you have put the file.
Now use the Copy settings wizard and use that file for the settings on all the other computers.
On a side note anything that is standard or common should be handled in this way. This will accomplash a couple things. When you upgrade solidworks your standards wont be overwriten and this makes changing the standards less painfull.
We use this methode for all our templates, custom properties, hole data, tool box, design library so on and so on.
