What do they reference? I’ve had multiple jobs with same type structures and different reviewers comment/reference different codes. They are never on the same page.
If I’m trying to bid a job, what can I expect?

Mostly, removable aluminum structures. A lot of the comments I’ve seen have been lateral force requirements(non code required lateral live load) and seismic Anchorage (lateral loads at supports cannot be resisted by friction).

DSA stands for the Division of State Architect, State of California,they will follow the 2016 CBC 'A' chapters. If you have had multiple projects with them then you should know how it goes. If your aluminum structures are the same you can have them pre-checked. Look up DSA procedure PR 07-01 to see about getting PC status for the structures.
