Dry saw cut vs wet saw cut-concrete

This is more of a means and methods question from the contractor about a concrete repair job but I think both have their advantages and disadvantages. Wet cutting seems to create a mess that’s hard to clean and dry cutting is somewhat hazardous to the workers. Are there any other issues I should be aware of and what do structural engineers prefer, if asked?
