Is anyone familiar with any drop testing that has been done of stainless steel containers (weight of several hundred pounds) at cryogenic (about -300 F) temperatures?
Check with Factory Mutual - U.S.A. or with API - American Petroleum Institute to see if they have any published reports available.
Bulk carriers of cryogenic fluids may have a clue of such sources - check with any cryogenic fluid supplier like - Linde, Liquid Oxgen, Liquid-Air, Union Carbide, Matheson etc.
NexGen Fuelling has a facility in Canton, Georgia where they have done drop tests on 119 gallon vacuum insulated cryogenic tanks. There is an SAE standard for these tests. I forget the number, SAE 2243 or something like that.
