Hi All,

I have setup a driveworksxpress file and it works apart from acouple of mates, which no matter what i mate them to they will not remain in the same place (see attached file)

Why would it reject these mates and retain the others??

Sorry for all these questions but after considerable time I still can't solve this problem

Cheers

DWExpress is a finicky beast that can be hard to control. Without actually being able to see your rules and such it will be nigh on impossible to diagnose. I do know that the user forum on DW's website is actually a very good forum for getting information and solving problems. I've used it myself several times.

DWXpress is especially finicky when used in conjunction with assemblies. Like the other 'Xpress' addins, it's meant for parts not assemblies.
That all being said, the only reason I can think of that the mates wouldn't "hold" is if face/edge ID's were changing. I'm guessing you're using DWX to control the length, but is the control an extruded length or a cut?
