I have a drawing I need to stamp in a state where I have my license, but have yet to actually purchase my stamp. Is there any way I can stamp using my home state stamp?

Typially, no. Check with the Board. You can buy them locally.

thanks....im having one over-nighted

I did that once - used my home state and added note that stamp was on its way and my seal number was 12345....

Nobody seemed to care.

Some states have a provision for this - a temporary license. Ask the State's Engineering Board.

You could possibly use a CAD stamp in that situation.

We ran into this a long time ago. We were wating to issue drawings for a guy to get his license. Once he got his number, the drawings could technically be issued, but he didn't physically hae a stamp. The state (Texas) was called and they said he could use his in state stamp.
Don't forget, the states don't get any money for the rubber stamps (except Nevada), just the licenses.
