I have a problem.
I use NX8.5 and TC9.1, i have imported some parts and drawings into teamcenter.
When i open the drawing the part stands as "Reference Only" and i can´t change this, under properties the "Reference only"-box i grey.

This causes the BOM-list to fail.

Any suggestions how to solve this problem?

I think I found this before - is there no 'reference' attribute you can change when you right click on the offending part in the assembly navigator? It was like a check-box you could tick off.

I haven't got NX at home, I'll have a look when I get into the office tomorrow if no-one else can help until then.

Yep - it's in there. Right click on the part, click Properties -> Assembly tab -> "Component is Reference-Only". Untick that and you'll be fixed.

When a part it made reference only it adds an attribute to the part called REFERENCE_COMPONENT. This attribute is only present whilst it is reference only. You may be able to trick the part by adding this attribute, then seeing if the box is still greyed out.

The box is greyed out, i found the attribute REFERENCE_COMPONENT but it is locked.
I get the alert:
"This attribute cannot be set/modified on this object, as it is locked"

And the information under Inherited:
"Attribute is inherited from the component instance"

is there any way to unlock the attribute?

Locked attributes can normally only be edited in Teamcenter but as the part is hidden from the drawing in Teamcenter, I am not sure where to start looking for it.
This is an unusual attribute as it is only valid for a specific instance in an assembly or drawing.
