hello all,

few questions:

On the link properties icon, on the drawing sheet layout
is it possible to link properties from the BOM,ie item mumber and quantity to
automaticly generate on the drawing sheet layout.?

Also on the link properties icon on the drawing sheet layout
when picking SW-Forlder Name. The full directory of all the folders appear
is it possible to select only one folder.?

Thanks,

Callum

Why would you need those properties to populate elsewhere on your drawing? The BOM should be the only place where those properties should appear.

Can you give a better explanation as to why you want to do this?

for your second question I belive the property "SW-Folder Name" is going to display the full path of where that is located on your network/harddrive. If you want fewer folders to show you may have to re-structure your file folders.

Best Regards,
Jon

I think I know what you mean.
I always do that. I type in a note with the part number in it. But for the part number (which here is our file name) I click the link properties button and select SW-file name. That way if the file name ever updates, so does my text..

If you want to create more. You have to create a custom property in the model file itself. Hope I helped..

The "item number" should be used, not "part number" on the dwg. The part number is indicated on the PL or BOM.

monkeys ... so you posted questions here before you even read them? ... without even trying to answer them yourself?

CorBlimeyLimey,

He had asked me directly - due to my lack of "drawing" mode experience I was unable to suggest a solution so asked him to forward me on the "questions" and I told him i would post on here on his behalf!

I will show him the above posts today.
