Drawing files: can I change the color of my next additions?

Sorry to do this but I'm referring to my Autocrash background, where I would open a file, and set what color I would draw in today. This helps me figure out what I am adding, as upposed to what I did earlier. Can this be done easily in Solidworks drawing files?

You can always set up new layers with unique colors.
