Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if it's possible, and if so how, to create a draft view of an assembly cut-away view ?
I've tried view configs but they only control what parts are displayed. Even if the file is saved with the cut-away view active you still get the full model in the draft file.
Still using V15 - does it work on later versions.

Hi,

It has to be a snapshot view (V15 term replaced by draft quality view in V17) to have the choice to show the cutaway views (in the view properties). So you have to redo the view and choose 'snap shot view' in the first tab of the drawing view wizard. Then click 'model display' and choose which cutaway view(s) you want to activate.

Try using Broken out section view instead as this command allows you to display the hatching and works with regular views.
