Drafting Line Antialiasing 1

Greetings all!

NX8.5 does not seem to react to the Line Antialiasing option in the Drafting preferences being turned on and off. It seems that Line Antialiasing is being constantly on. Am I missing something here?

OK, the Antialiasing option in Drafting is only there is override the 'Full Scene Antialiasing' and then only if it was toggled OFF in Modeling. Therefore I suspect that the reason you're not seeing any difference in Drafting whether the Preferences -> Drafting... 'Line Antialiasing' option is toggled ON or OFF is that if you go back Modeling and check the Preferences -> Visualization -> Visual you'll see that the 'Full Scene Antialiasing' option is toggled ON. The reason for this arrangement is so that users could turn OFF antialiasing in Modeling to gain a little extra performance yet still being able to toggle it ON in Drafting so that your documents are as clean as possible. It was also decided that if it WAS turned ON in Modeling, then it would be inappropriate to turn it OFF in Drafting, therefore the Drafting Preference can ONLY enable Antialiasing, it can't disable it.

Anyway. I hope this explains what it is that you're seeing, or in this case, NOT seeing.
