Are DPE seats best in gas application than in liquids? Where does it make sense to use besides the fact that is serves as a secondary barrier in case one seat is compromised?

Are DPE seats best in gas application than in liquids? Where does it make sense to use besides the fact that is serves as a secondary barrier in case one seat is compromised?

1st q equally good
2nd q It doesn't as dpe seats lock in presure between the seats which needs a separate relief, though mainly for liquid systems where thermal expansion needs to be taken into account
