I am working with a high pressure gas well that is experiencing freezing/hydrate problems. (Bottom hole pressure 10,000#, FTP 5,000# on 6/64, LP 100#)I have been told that a downhole choke will help with this problem.

Can anyone tell me a good site or shareware application to use to help in learning more about downhole chokes and calculation proper size?

You can use if ensure gas field not mix Gas/water/oil

Not recommend if later your well fluid will contain >10 % of liquid.
Not recommend if later well pressure deplete more than 50% of orinal value. That mean its work only narrow range.

Please re-consider, you will end up very narrow of operating envelop
