If you eject the 2.5" HDD + case USB 3.0 in Windows 10 and then hit the HDD case with your hand, will it damage it and generate bad blocks? Did the shock move the HDD on the table?

Did you actually see the notification that it was safe to remove the disk? I find that my Windows seemingly likes to hang on to my disks and often have to shut down the computer to get "clean" eject".

If you didn't see the notification, then it's possible some data got corrupted. Or, it's possible that the disk was still spinning when you hit it.

OK, then it might just be coincidence; I once ejected a drive at the airport, and accidently flung it about 5 ft onto a counter side and the floor, without any issues, but YMMV.

In the old old days we had a program to shut down dos and park the heads of the hard disk.
The danger was if the hard drive was spinning if a shock was introduced it would damage the disk by means of the heads bumping the hard disk.
If it is a new style static hard drive
The danger lies in static electricity
A mild shock should be OK.
As always it is prudent time back up systems and data.
With proprietary or free Linux programs. Make an image of the drive, and back up data on a daily basis. If you add or subtract programs or make changes to the windows system reimage it.
