Dear All

I looking to machining Double studded Flange (DSA) 4 1/16 5000 psi x 4 1/16 10000 psi using the 4130 AISI raw material according to API spec 6A.
The thickness for each side is mentioned in the API stander ; please let me know who to calculate the totale thickness for DSA .
thanks

Looks like you need to come up with that dimension yourself.

Given that these are very similar size, I would look at stud hole depth on both sides and then add that hole depth again between the end of each hole for the stud.

The only advice from vendors I couild find was a 4 1/16 x 3 1/8 5M and it was 83mm thick.

So going to a 4 1/16 10M connection I would say you're looking at 100mm min.

I don't think this is a "calculation" more of an engineering judgement.

Oil filed equipment has a hard life and you don't want onel of these studs to either come out or the adaptor to split.
