DOT requirements for UN Tanks

I am trying to locate the applicable DOT design code that applies to UN tanks.

These are tanks transportation fluids (sometimes hazerdous) and are typically enclosed in crash frames.

Is there a particular DOT regulation that spells out design requirements? A CFR?

I think you want 49 CFR 178.273 or 178.274.

You need to select the 2010 version, as the 2011 version is not yet issued.
