Is there a common method for estimating the % work hardening and/or yield strength / TS improvement for a given material for DOM versus as welded thin wall ERW tubing?

Are there any good references for this type of analysis?

The amount of work hardening varies depending on how much reduction is done on the draw bench. I would use the published strength of DOM tubes. Your source for your tubing can help you.

That is why it is drawn to various grades, so that you know what strength you will get.
Also remember that steels don't work harden much. It takes a lot of cold work to raise the strength much.
