Does Touch Mode on solidworks 2019 enable only on a touch screen device?

I have Solidworks 2019 but would like to use the Touch mode feature however I haven't bought a touch screen device yet. At the moment the touch mode is not functional so does it only become functional when I use the software on a touch screen?
