I'm referring to a software package called "Surfaces", used for aircraft design, particularly in UAV research. It’s developed (or published) by Great Owl Publishing and sold by Unmanned Aerial Research.

I'm trying to find out if anyone here has used it before, and if so, what their experience has been with its features and reliability.

At this point I think the answer is "No." A search with google doesn't show me any software publisher by that name.

"Great Owl Publishing" is a dead end. It appears that "Surfaces" has a single developer, Dr. Snorri Gudmundsson, PhD. It appears to be restricted to incompressible flow, so 300-400 mph??

Ask if UnmannedAerialResearch has a user group and check their customer list https://www.unmannedaerialresearch.com/ to see if any of them has one. Darpa may not respond, but Missouri S&T and Georgia Tech might.

But note that Unmanned Aerial Research provides various engineering and training services as well, so a "customer" is not the same as a "Surfaces" user.

This is true, which is why I highlighted the universities as it is sold as an educational product. The worst case is, they say they don't have a user group, so I don't understand the value of this particular observation. The best case is, they do have one, and this is likely the only way to find out.
