When I installed 2004 I allowed sending performance logs. When reviewing sent emails I noticed that 4 were sent in 5 working days.
Has anyone been contacted about these being sent?

Not us, we say no to that question.

No ... I have always left that option unchecked. It is probably useful to SW but I personally dislike any kind of automatic "phone home" or "step logger" activity. If I have a problem with a particular program, I will decide whether to let whoever know.

We do not have this enabled, because it will slow things down. Especially if it fires off during a rebuild.

If the option was checked during install, does anyone know how to turn it off? Or re-install?

Tools > System Options uncheck Enable performance email

That goes without saying in these days of "Big Brother" watching our every move....that does it I'm moving to Canada! :)

Another message from Canada: Big Brother extends his tentacles even up here.

I've allowed the performance e-mail and occasionally it sends an e-mail when I open up Solidworks, but once open I've never had it mess me up during the session. I've never heard anything back from Solidworks, but then there have been no problems to speak of either.

I too am paranoid somewhat too, especially after I got a virus at home that was trying to mail something out. (My antivirus stopped it).
