Hi there everyone,
I am new here, so please bear with me for just a minute or two.
I was an HF major at the Air Force Academy. I am also into practical or action pistol matches.
On one of the gun forums I frequent, a new competitor is asking about what role expectancy has on shooting performance.
I'd really like to comment on that discussion by talking about heuristics and biases.
But, for the life of me, I cannot remember what they all are. I remember from Dr. Wickens class on aviation psychology that there was the "availability heuristic" and "salience bias". I do NOT remember much else though.
If you have a list of them handy, would you please post it here?
(pardon me if this seems like spam)
If you want to see first person pistol match videos, go here:
Maybe those vids can be of some help to other HF pro's.
Thank you!
