What determines the sectioning color of components, when an assembly is sectioned using the SPA (DMU Space Analysis)license?
When I create a section of the assembly, each component keeps its existing color. However, several of my coworkers get green sections...all components in the sections are the same color green.
They want to generate some nice sectioned pictures of the assembly for a presentation, but only get the green sections.

Thanks,

What version of CATIa are you using?

I have the feeling that since ~R16 DS introduce us with the green section, while the contour keeps the color of the solid.

The colour of the section is green when you have the option to measure from the created section turned on.

Tools > Options > Digital mockup > DMU Sectioning tab.

Uncheck the 'Allow measures on a section created with a simple plane' option and the section should take the coulour of its parent 3D body.

Hope this helps.

It didn't work for me either, even when setting the tools+options as pauldms suggested.

... until I turned on the Space Analysis license, and bingo!

Colored sections look much better than the dull green.

I also just discovered that the dull green that are used for Sectioning is the low-intensity color. It can be changed in Tools + Options + Display + Visualization.
