What are distribution factors that are used part of load rating? it is also in load rating software like Virtise for example?
Is it from the placement of the trucks and loading the lanes and how much is for each truss or superstructure element?
If can explain or have an article that explains the definition of Distribution Factors for bridge Load Rating.

The distribution factors for load rating are typically the same as for design. The purpose of a load rating is to determine whether or not a structural element can safely carry a particular design vehicle.

If you're rating a bridge for a permit vehicle and it will be the only vehicle on your bridge, you can take liberty with the DF.

i have attached good example of DF for load rating using virtis. remember, virtis do not calculcate DF if the bridge is splayed at bays. For that, you have to manually imput the values. refer attached pdf.
