dissolved chloride and manganese

Are there any rules of thumbs for dissolved chloride and manganese concentration (mg/L) at which severe corrosion attack may take place in an oil pipeline?
What other factors should one take into consideration (e.g., SRB & APB population and signs of dissolved iron or iron products)?
 
Not sure what question you're asking, but the presence of Fe and Mn is a pretty good clue that SRB's may be involved in a pitting attack.

Do you have OD or ID pitting-I'm guessing OD.
