Our client has a FBE coated carbon steel line. There is a blind flange in the drain line (CS+FBE) and a valve of carbon steel is placed in downstream after spectacle blind.
CS+FBE line -> Spectacle Blind -> CS Valve -> Bare CS line
All the valves and flanges in upstream of spectacle blind are DSS.
Our operation engineer says that we can not use DSS Spectacle blind as the blind will not rotate with Insulation Gasket.
Can we use CS Spectacle blind ? Can we go for coated spectacle blind ?
Though I am not sure if FBE coating cab be done in Spectacle blind.
