Display of assembly cut in part.

Hello All,
I was just wondering if this is possible. I have a hole in the assembly that cuts through some parts. When I open any of the affected parts, the hole is there. Is there a way to remove the hole from the part withough affecting the assembly? This could be usefull for machining purposes.
