There were some links in a thread to some quite inexpensive cards that were SW approved, can someone re-post those? I'm using 2010 with a really cheap card, and it looks like some $$ is coming down the pipe to invest in a card and second monitor, a matching monitor is $169, and if I can get in under $400, I'll probably pull the trigger.

thanks

Nick

Go to and search for workstation graphics cards for a list of suitable cards ranging from $99 to $4000.
Choose from the PNY/ATI FireGL or Fire Pro, or nVIdia QuadroFX or Quadro cards. Ignore the NVS types.

From reading Charles Culp posts, he suggest a lot the AMD Firepro V4900. Even though I haven't used it I wouldn't be surprised that this must be a good value card.

also running some video apps that benefit from CUDA, I'm going to go with the quadro 600.

Pat, I'm using the V4900 at work, and I'm very happy with it.

Thank you for the feedback CBL! I appreciate it!
